Hi Michał21845894zusf,

I've seen this bug in earlier versions of InDesign as well.

Here we have it:

Automatic hyphens randomly have letters in them
bracewell4213, Jul 20, 2021

https://community.adobe.com/t5/indesign-discussions/automatic-hyphens-randomly-have-letters-in-them/...

More details about the cause in the same thread:

https://community.adobe.com/t5/indesign-discussions/automatic-hyphens-randomly-have-letters-in-them/...

The issue is a bug in the used "Adobe World-Ready Composer" !

Either use a different paragraph composer for your texts or:

Include PDF Tags with the PDF Export preset you use for exporting to PDF.

Regards,
Uwe Laubender

I have to correct myself. Try to export with PDF Tags enabled or with PDF Tags disabled.

See what option will work for you.

There is a bug report as InDesign UserVoice that fits your issue, so vote for fixing the bug there:

Thanks Uwe, PDF Tags enabled/disabled work for now.

It was the first time, the bug appeared in my works.

Hi Michael,

so you switched the paragraph composer to the Adobe Paragraph Composer setting to make this work?
