Can I have a button on top of another button in Indesign? I am creating an interactive PDF and have some text (in a button) that links to an outside URL. My solution was to put clear boxes on top of the specific copy and have those clear boxes be the URL link. Those buttons work great. BUT when you click on anthing in the text button that is NOT a link - all URL links no longer work. I have to click off of the button to an entirely different layer in the PDF to reset the URL links.

Yes, you're running into the limitations of buttons when working with PDF files.

Buttons are nothing short of a crapshoot and the more you add the more trouble you'll have. Add in the fact they're not likely to work at all except in Acrobat and I'd have to say you're wasting your time here.
