Can no open InDesign files? Adobe is no help.

Here is the error maesage I get : Cannot open the file “.2022 Entry Form 2.indd.icloud”.  Adobe InDesign may not support the file format, a plug-in that support the file format may be missing, or the fil may be open in another application." 

I can open the files but only via icloud but why should I pay so much for Adobe Suite but have to go outside the app?

This seems to be an Apple iCloud issue, you would need to sync the whole file on to your system and then you will have indd files instead of icloud files. See the following article it elaborates on this point

I suspect that you are getting the error because InDesign doesn't know what a .icloud file is...

Cna you remove the extra file extension?

What are the options you are getting, and what do you choose?

I save all my files locally on my own hard drive, so I have no iCloud experience

So it used to save document without problems as InDesign Doc but now it
give me the error message?
