Can't grab flickering rotate tool on corner of box - just upgraded to Sonoma.

Hi All,

This is driving me bonkers - when I go to rotate a box or line in InDesign, the arrow flickers between the expand arrow and the rotate tool, it's really difficult to get the rotate tool to show - so I'm having to manually alter the angle of items.

I'm sure I'm missing something (other than brain cells) - all help greatly appreciated.

Patty

What you've missed, probably due to the very poor search functions here, is that this a well-known issue. Your choices:

  • Turn off the rulers in InDesign
  • Turn on GPU Performance (if it's available to you)
  • Roll back to Ventura

Thanks Bob, I had managed to find the 'turn off rulers' suggestion - and GPU Performance suggestion too (it is turned on, there was another suggestion I found which recommended turning it off 😆)  turning off the rulers has stopped everything flickering generally, but not the rotate tool issue.

Hohum, but thanks ever so for suggestions. Have a good one.

InDesign 2023 and 2024 are not yet updated for Sonoma. That's the basic problem.
