Hi guys.
In Indesign I can't resize/scale photos/objects/textboxes. The corner handles are missing. There is nothing locked in my files, and it also happens when I make a new document. I have tried everything, I have restarted my com, uninstalled Indesign, installed an older version.....

I hope you guys can help me!

Problem solved!
Nothing is wrong with my Indesign.
It was my connection between my computer and my screen.
I still don't know why that problem came and why it had to affect Indesign 🙂

But thank you so much for the help!
Have a great day.

try to delete your indesign preferences:

  1. Windows: Start InDesign, and then press Shift+Ctrl+Alt. Click Yes when asked if you want to delete preference files.
  2. macOS: While pressing Shift+Option+Command+Control, start InDesign. Click Yes when asked if you want to delete preference files.

Hi there,

Sorry to hear about this trouble. Please try resetting InDesign preferences as suggested above.

Please note that resetting preferences will remove all the custom settings and InDesign will launch with default settings. You can also take a backup of the folders in case you want to. Location is mentioned in the article.

If that doesn' help, please share a few more details like:

  • OS and version of InDesign
  • When did this start happening? Are there any recent changes made to your system? For example, any antivirus, system updates or web extensions installed recently.

We're here to help, just need more info.

Regards,

Srishti

Hi, thank you for the reply.
I've tried resetting the preferences - didn't help.
I've noticed I can't see my brushtool in Photoshop as well. I can paint, but I can't see the outline of the mouse.
I have Windows 10 and Indesign (15.11)
It started happen last wednesday. No new updates and so on.
