Indesign generated shadows are displaying way too dark when pushed through Share For Review and I am wondering if you cannot effect the PDF settings to correct this issue – anyone know where the settings are or indeed why S4R does not treat ID shadows well?

Hi Matthew,

the answer is: No.

You have no options how the PDF is written.

Other features are also not supported: Like overprinting of elements.

But this is already a feature request you could support with your vote at InDesign UserVoice:

Note, this is particulelry the case when you have a nested Indesign file (in Indesign) and that file has an artefact with an applied Indeisgn shadow. See Attached examples of how it shoudl look and what the reviewers get instead via S4R

Thanks for your reply 'Laubender' – it is 'as I thought!'

Another BIG issue with S4R I am having and had no responses for...
That despite the filename appearing as you create the Share, the recipient receives a load of random characters in the name of their Review. This makes it incredibly annoying as the Email subject carries this random name – it obviously would be much better if the actual filename lifted over??? It just doesn't make any sense

See my post on this
https://community.adobe.com/t5/indesign/share-for-review-filename-for-the-reviewer/m-p/11973431#M422...

Any resolve on this issue @Laubender ?
