hi,
I am using CS5, Adobe In Design.
I wanna include an eps-file into my In Design document.
So I try to do this via click and drop.
Then I get a message from In Design:
"either the file does not exist or you do not have the permission, or the file may be in use by another application"
Want can I do?
I found the mistake.
The problem was that I used a German Umlaut: ö
I changed it into oe, and then there was no problem.
Thanks for your support.

Are you stating File > Place doesn't insert the AI file into your InDesign document?

Hi @peterm94018769 ,
Sorry to hear about the trouble. Please try renaming the file and saving it to the desktop, once saved please try placing the file in InDesign as suggested above. For more information, you can also refer to this article https://helpx.adobe.com/indesign/using/placing-graphics.html
Let us know if this helps or if you need any further assistance.
Regards
Rishabh
