cannot move objects or images

upgraded indesign to 19.4 yesterday with middle east language format. today, although i can select or resize an object or photo, i cannot move them using either a tablet, a mouse or the trackpad. i am only able to move objects/photos using keyboard arrows.

If it doesn't help, try to revert to 19.3 - you can do so from the Creative Cloud app:

OS is sonoma 14.5. been using indesign 5.0 and it's my first time to use cc. i have reinstalled indesign and it seems the problem has disappeared. thanks for showing the preference reset.
