Cant apply master page to one side of booklet spread since new update

Ive always been able to do this but I think the latest update came with a glitch.

Layout a booklet using Facing Pages, I have multiple master spreads.  Sometimes I have to apply one of these master sprads to just the left or right side of a spread by selecting only that one page, apply master, and it would do it.  Now it always wants to apply the master to both sides.

Why is it doing this now, or where is the setting to stop this?

In addition to that, I will see both masters on top of each other on both sides of the same spread now

LATEST

Solved... It seems now that if the items on your master are grouped on both sides of the spread, it will carry over on the pages themselves
