Bonjour,

Multi state objects are not supported in PDF. This type of interactivity is nearly impossible to implement in a PDF. Use Publish Online or Fixed layout EPUB instead.

You could try it with show/hide buttons but I warn you that it won't work in many third party reader. Only Acrobat or Reader on a desktop computer.

States are not interactive .pdf features. they are publish online features. so i don't think you are correct in that this is possible with states exporting interactive .pdf.

and which is the sample? where is the .pdf where you saw that working? you only show screenshots and the first one does not match what you are taking about?

That appears to be done with show/hide buttons.

If you open that PDF in Acrobat and choose prepare form from the tools you'll see all of the buttons in this file.

other will have different ways of doing this:

make your frames for the image into buttons, label them and make them hiden till trigger:

make your next and previous graphic, make them buttons and give them show and hide properties:

Screen Shot 2021-06-14 at 11.00.04 AM.png

if you label things you can now see what you can control, as in what one button can do, it can turn off and on visibility for other buttons.

I would repeat the next and previews buttons, make them overlap. this way the user thinks they click the same button but in reality each button has two functions, make itself hidden and exposing another button under it, and make the image appear. The button under it that was hidden and now shows can now make another image appear and make itself hidden, showing another button, and you can continue this loop.

that is just my idea. i am sure there are other ways of doing this.
