Changed something in my preferences and can't figure out how to put it back

I made a change in my ID preferences and now when I scroll, my image boxes view as grey with an X through it. It's driving me nuts and I can't figure out what setting I changed.

Any thoughts?

You set display performance to Fast display. Set it to Typical or High quality display.

Good thoughts, but everything is set to "Typical" in the preferences as well as under the "View" menu.

There is also another option that will Greek images on scrolling.
