CID/GID search via GREP

Community Beginner ,

A wonderful good day. Does anyone know of a way to search for or replace a character using GREP for the CID/GID code. The reason is that a font that I use has 2 characters with the same Unicoding and Name, and there is only a difference via CID/GID. hope some can help. Thanks

You can't use GREP to look for characters by their CID/GID, you'll have to use (the scripting equivalent of) the Glyph tab in the Find/Change window.

Hi @Horst29621268rudt, I have no experience with this personally, but you may find this article helpful. There is a link to a script that purports to work with GID codes.

Thank you for the information. I have read in some posts that it is not mentioned anywhere, but now it is certain. I'll look at the way to modify the font directly to that end and try a custom unicoding. Thank you
