Does anyone else notice that if you link an illustrator file from the cloud into InDesign it now has a WHITE BACKGROUND and NO OPTION TO TURN IT OFF like a drive-linked asset..... Annoyning Is this a known bug?

Now I have to go back to traditional ways and link to drive files or uninstall inDesign and do EVERYTHING IN Illustrator

I don't use cloud libraries, but I think that there is a workaround: import an illustrator file from your computer and display the import options. Choose no background; this setting should remain for the next files you will import fom CC libraries.

There's also a script you can run which is very handy meaning you don't have to go through the relink process again

I like Cloud Future features, sharing with dumb Microsoft PowerPoint from Adobe Cloud without having to save out PNG files, sharing to indesign CLOUD without having to have linking files or connecting to a Windows work server from a Mac that does not play nice, and all of those corporate life workarounds (win vs mac). I love the update going to Cloud Libraries!!! I can access them from my cell share within an organization or outside and not have to collect files from a server or drive. Work much faster and updates are pushed out automatically vs relinking to a new copy on a Windows server struggles. I like this it was working perfectly before 19.3. now 19.4 has an annoying you don't have permissions and or file is in use or lost window that will NOT go away and let you work. I need InDesign to go back to being stupid and told what to link to by the user and not think for you like Windows ME used to do... I am going to have to uninstall inDesign FOREVER and redo everything in Illustrator if this is not fixed by Adobe. PS that can't link or access or file is in use has been a known issue since 2015. My new Hate relationship with InDesign not loving it at all.
