Please help! How can I colour/mark every second line of text with a specific colour throughout the book?
Еrying to prepare a book for reading by people with disabilities (seniors with poor eyesight)
Is there a way to automate this entire process? Similar to MS Exel table - every odd row to gray
Thank you

Are you trying to create something like this?
Create a Character Style. Use the Underline Options section to create a look that "fills" the space behind the text..
Create a Paragraph Style. Within the Drop Caps and Nested Styles section add Nested Line Styles as needed and repeat them as necessary.
I'm happy to go into more detail if needed.

Note that depending on the number of lines you have in a paragraph you may get the highlighting appearing on consecutive lines (last and first lines of consecutive paragraphs).

Is it so hard to alternate line color without restarting at each para?

LOL. It does, doesn't it! I was working on the GREP after a line break question too and repurposed the character style. Still can't figure that one out.
