If I use Publish Online, I get to see different colors than in the original. Does anyone know how I can solve this?

Hi babathemacman ,
best show two screenshots to show the issue:
1. InDesign document
2. Publish Online document in browser
My guess: Your InDesign document's color management for RGB is not set for sRGB.
So some conversions are made to sRGB and some are done with a different kind of RGB, maybe Adobe RGB or Apple RGB.

Uwe

It looks to me like there are no color managed conversions of native InDesign colors and swatches when I use Publish Online. To get matching color I have to assign sRGB as the RGB profile, and US Web SWOP Coated as the CMYK profile (use Edit>Assign profiles... or Edit>Convert to Profile..., not Color Settings).
Placed images with conflicting embedded profiles do seem to be correctly converted to sRGB when the document assignment is sRGB

Hi there,
Thanks for reaching out. As per your query, colors on Publish Online documents look different than that on the original InDesign file. In addition to the suggestions shared above, please take a look at this similar discussion (Publish online color management issues - washed-out colors ).
If that doesn't help, please share a few more details like:

I have the same problem. (Adobe InDesign 19.1 on a Mac running Sonoma)
I looked high and low to find a solution.
Everything is Adobe RGB, the originals, the working color space, Transparency Blend Space, Printer Profile and Assigned Color Space - but the output from 'Publish Online...' menu is washed out CMYK colors.

Hi @pierrejeanneau,
Sorry for the delay in response. Is it possible to update your operating system to 14.3 and see if that helps? Have you started noticing the issue with the 19.2 version?
We will try our best to investigate further.
Thanks,
Harshika
