Colours changes inside indesign

Hello! The picture below shows 2 different files in indesign (preview window, before choosing a file to work with). The colour in the file to the left is the preffered colour. It is also the colour that gets exported, when exporting both files as pdf (So the end result is good, its just weird when im in indesign).

When i open up the files the left file turns into the green to the right and the right file turns into the green to the left. So they are both changing colour, preview and opened file shows two different colours.  Have someone had the same problem inside indesign?

1. Don't get caught up in the appearance of the previews.
2. Check  to verify whether the color settings of the two documents are alike.
   Edit > Color Settings
   Edit > Transparency Blend Space

Also check you haven't selected a green that is out of gamut, like an RGB or HEX.

The file preview may very well be using that RGB value, while your view inside the document itself wil have been processed/modified more accurately according to your colour settings/transparency space, particularly the CMYK space you've selected for print.

File previews are "dumb" represenations... they're quick and dirty.

What about the colour values – are they the same or are there slightly different values when you click on them?
Because in our team, we struggle with this problem right now:
We have an InDesign file (2023) and set some color values. When somebody reopens the file, the color looks the same but by clicking on the swatch, the values are different. (see images in the attachment).
Our team works with the same inDesign Versions with the same color settings. It is so annoying when colors change «out of the blue» (literally :-D) and we always have to double check the values when we reopen files..

What are the EXACT versions of InDesign on the two computers in the team? It looks like perhaps a different software version. Also, check the colour settings in preferences are the same on both machines.

That would be the expected behavior when a document’s CMYK Color Management Policy is set to Convert to Working Space. Try setting your Color Settings’ CMYK Policy to Preserve Embedded or Preserve Numbers (Ignore Linked Profiles) with the Ask When Opening boxes checked—on an open you will get warning if the document’s Policy is set to convert.
