Come avvicinare il numero della nota e togliere lo spazio

Mi sta capitando una cosa un po' strana. Sto impaginando un testo in indesign, nel momento di inserire il numero della nota nel testo quest'ultimo si sposta con uno spazio eccessivo dalla parola. 
Come posso risolvere? Cosa mi consigliate?

That's weird. The only thing that comes to my mind is having a grep style applying a large tracking amount to any character followed by a reference footnote.
