Hola comunidad,

Hi @suseg,

I understand how frustrating it can be when accents and ñs don't appear correctly in your merged data, especially when working on important documents like diplomas! Could you please confirm the version of InDesign you're using and provide details about your Mac's operating system?

A possible cause of this issue is the encoding format. When exporting your data from Excel or Google Sheets, ensure that the file is saved as "UTF-16" instead of UTF-8 or ASCII, as InDesign works better with UTF-16 encoding for special characters. Additionally, make sure that the fonts you're using support these special characters.

Let me know if that helps, and feel free to share more details so I can assist further! 😊

Thank you,
Abhishek Rao
