Damaged files suddenly happening

Hi - this has happened a few times now, out of the blue (on a few different machines) - files have saved fine, but when tryign to open them again, they're not recoverable - so all work lost. No issues on the local machines or servers, all checked adn only happenign with inDesign files... Anyone else experiencing this?

You might need to reset preferences. More here:

Thank Mike, I have done to preference trashing on one machine - didn't help with opening any damaged files (didn't expect it to), but time will tell if it's fixed whatever's causing the error though...
