I deleted text in an Indesign-file and exported my final document as a PDF.

I can’t see the deleted text in the Indesign file. That’s how it should be.
But in the PDF it is visible in the background as a marker. As an RTF or a WORD-file,
deleted text is readable again. How can that be?

  1. Version?
  2. OS?
  3. Where was the text? On the master/parent or on the page itself?
  4. Has it been on the master/parent, but was overwritten?

Mac OS Monterey Version 12.4 / Indesign 17.3

The text was on the page itselfThere are no master pages in this document.
It is a newly created file, but with text copied from a 2016 file. It’s about my cv (curriculum vitae),
which I updated in the newindesign file.

Check the modification/creation date and time on the PDF to make sure you have the latest one.

I'm amazed. In the file information I can see that the indesign file was created in 2016 an changed in 2022. Nevertheless, I only have one text frame in this file. In it I deleted text that becomes visible again in an RTF, among other things. How ist that possible?
