Hi there,
I am working on a file with checkboxes and option buttons. The checkboxes are used when multiple options are selectable and the option buttons are used when only one option should/can be selected.
The problem I have is with the option buttons. In some cases an option MUST be selected, but only one. In other cases the selection is optional, but if you choose, you can only select one. My problem is that once an option button is selected, it cannot be deselected, even if the selection is optional. Is there any solution or alternative?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Open the PDF in Acrobat where you can add a button to reset the form. AFAIK, that will reset everything.

You may want to pop over to the Acrobat forum to see if there's something specific to those single items on the form but please be aware that beyond Acrobat or Reader on a desktop computer, these things are a crapshoot.

My usual caveat applies: This would be far easier and more reliable done as a proper form on a website.
