Since updating to indesign version 17 my display guides are randomly distorting on the screen, so part of a vertical guide is stepped out of line. If I close the document and open it is ok until the next time.
The distortion seems to be worse when I add object boxes but is very random

Does this happen on all files?

It does not seem to happen in every document it seems just random and I have not as yet identified any common factor. Also it does not seem to affect an exported document.
Thanks

I agree but I have tried searching the forums but cannot find any reference to this
My graphics card is NVIDIA geforce gtx 1070.
It is a fairly common card so I would have thought somebody else would be having the same issue
Thanks

Did you go to NVIDIA's website and check for updated drivers?

My windows settings uses a NVIDIA driver dated 22/11/2020 and if I try to update it says that this is "up to date" but if I go to the NVIDIA site there is a later STUDIO driver dated 10.11.21.
I had no problems until I updated INDD to version 17 and was hoping that I could get confirmation that there was a potential compatibilty problem before I started trying to update my graphics drivers.

I have tried resetting my preferences to no avail but:
If I untick the "grids in back" option the problem seems to go away.
Has anybody got any ideas? and what is the implication of leaving this option unset
Thanks
