Hi Folks,
My document dimensions are set at 1280px x 506px.
My PDF export 17.78in x 7.03in.
How do I get my desired dimensions?
I creating an interactive PDF to be posted on the web.
Assistance is appreciated.
Thanks.
Both have the same ratio, that is what counts for interactive documents.
The size of a pixel in mm or inches is not defined, if no resolution is given, and tht is not the case here.
InDesign takes the size of any pixel 1px = 1pt,
12px = 12pt = 1p,
72px = 72pt = 6p = 1inch
So is nothing wrong, it is correct, only a different unit is shown.

Hi @seeker2007 , Also InDesign’s Pixel ruler units are designed for making exports to image formats like JPEG and PNG easier—you can export a JPEG at a matching 1280x560 pixel dimension by setting the export Resolution to 72ppi.
PDF is not an image format, so you can setup your document to the desired print dimensions in inches or millimeters, in case the visitor wants to download and print the PDF. For display, browsers typically fit the PDF into the available screen space.
