Why is my Effects tool freezing up my In Design? If I click on Transperency or any effects it is freezing up my In Desing. Help!

We need a lot of information to help you:

1. What OS do you use?
2. What computer, how much RAM?
3. What InDesign version?
4. How was InDesign installed? Via CC Desktop Application or via transfer from a bakup or older computer?
5. To what kind of object did you apply which effect? Text, graphic (what kind of graphic), frame, all together?
6. Does it happen in every document or only in a specific object?

Thanks, none of that matters now, I did an update, and it was fixed! go
figure....working one day, not the next...just need an update.
