Hm. I cannot understand this. Adobe Illustrator is able to include all necessary font information to a saved EPS file. If the used fonts are installed, are available and if they are embeddable, means if the license allows the font to be embedded. Perhaps this is the core issue?

Why are you creating a PostScript file? If this is for distilling to PDF have you tried exporting as PDF instead?

Try opening the EPS in Illustrator or placing it into an Illustrator file then embedding. You can also try using Distiller to convert the EPS to a PDF.

Can you share one of these EPS files so others can test it?

Hi @Scott Falkner  all the .eps equation is created in Illustrator only while creating we have embeding all fonts in that particualr equation. now when we are placing in InDesign then we will get font missing

that is ok but when we are getting Attachement kind of issue then it become difficult to create pdf

for that we are manually converting that ps into pdf by using distiller after that we are relinking that equstions as pdf in  Indesign.

can you pls suggest how can we handle this on automation

In that case I sugggest using PDF as your graphic format. The best way to do that is to save as a native Illustrator file (extension .ai) with PDF compatibility turned on.

That's recommended to use AI or PDF/X-4. Don't use EPS.

Avoid outlining fonts in InDesign. It causes more problems than it will solve them.

In modern times you should not use EPS anymore as it causes many problems.
Neither should anyone create PDFs from InDesign via print and postscript file.
Avoid postscript.

Can you produce the equation as PDF? Do that. If not, convert them in Distiller to PDFs. If you use a T1 font this can be problematic. You might replace that font with its TTF or OTF counterpart.

Hi Anupam,

you need a machine with the operating system where this EPS was created; with the right font installed in the system that is now missing. If the EPS was done on a Mac you need a Mac, when it was done on a Windows PC you need a Windows machine. Only this way you can be sure to include the font in the PostScript data stream if it is available for you.

FWIW: I know there are still applications for math type equations that cannot include the necessary fonts when writing the equations to EPS or PDF. That's the core issue. If the EPS would have included all necessary resources, also the font information, there would be no issue to export your document to PDF or to print to PostScript.

Ignoring your workflow issues for the moment, let's straighten out the facts.

What program are you using to create the math equations?

What format is your EURM10 font?

Is it also in the 30 files that work?

If you export the file to PDF (as you should) does the same error occur on the 4-5 troublesome files?

So you have to make sure at creation time of the EPS files that the font is available.

You could test if it is embedded in the EPS if you distill the EPS files to PDF and inspect them in Acrobat Pro.
