Error CC library

New Here ,
Nov 20, 2024 Nov 20, 2024

Hello,
I'm working with InDesign via two different laptops on the same project, assuming that the library helps to manage the different files (photos). The links of the photos are not created when switching laptops, even if uploaded in the library. When I try to recreate the link to the pictures uploaded in the library I get this error message:
No link to an InDesign snippet file can be created. If you continue, the existing Eleemnet on the layout will be replaced with the InDesign snippet file.
Can you help?

Hi @Lucie37661130513i,

Thank you for reaching out! To better assist you, could you please share the version of InDesign you are using? Also, is this issue happening with a specific file, or does it occur with all of your InDesign files?

In the meantime, below might help:
1. Ensure that both laptops are synced with the same Creative Cloud Library and have the latest updates installed for InDesign.
2. When relinking images from the library, make sure that you are using the "Place Linked" option, not the snippet option, to avoid replacing the layout.
3. Check that both InDesign versions are compatible with the Creative Cloud Library syncing feature.

Let me know if this helps, or if you encounter any further issues!

Best,
Abhishek Rao
