Error en notas al exportar a Epub

New Here ,
Apr 29, 2024 Apr 29, 2024

Hola, querida comunidad.

This has been reported at least once already, but I was unable to replicate the change (in 19.4, vs exports from earlier versions).

Specifically,  do you mean footnotes or end notes, and can you share a screen cap of the relevant setup menu?

Also, details of the EPUB export settings.

I'm aware of the fault, and that it is a change for some users, but I haven't been able to replicate it. You may not have changed your note or export settings, but something may be different from my settings or assumptions and thus be at the root of why we're getting different results.

I am less and less convinced there is a "solution" for what is not a glitch or fault, but a new and apparently standards-compliant document structure.

The solution, I think, would be to start a new thread explaining in detail what the process or conversion problems are, and work backwards to adjust the workflow and methods to accommodate the new model.

Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. I understand how frustrating it can be to have your footnotes or endnotes formatted incorrectly when exporting to EPUB.

Could you please confirm which version of InDesign you're using? Also, if possible, could you share the InDesign file you're working with? This will allow us to examine the issue more closely and work with our product team to find a solution.

You can upload the file here or provide a link if it's available online.

Thank you for your patience, and I look forward to helping resolve this issue.

Best regards,

Anshul Saini

Hiya. This change is a result of some ongoing work to bring InDesign's EPUB export up to accessible publishing standards. Using a <section> instead of a <div> and using a lists for notes is semantically correct. See, for example, the DAISY Knowledge Base on this issue.
