Export as transparent PNG pictures shows as placeholders

Sometimes when I export PNG with transparent background from InDesign all is ok, but sometimes the pictures shows up as «placeholders».

Some documents work, some don’t and I’m unable to see what’s causing the issue.

Anyone got an idea?Screen Shot 2021-11-04 at 23.09.16.jpg

Just to clarify, you are Exporting the page or a selection to a PNG image, and then placing the exported PNG image back into InDesign via File>Place?

Hey.

No, I just want to make a design containing different placed images (and text etc) and export the whole page as a transparent PNG. And the placed pictures appears as placeholders.

Did that clarify?

Is your Display performance set to High Quality? What format are the placed images? Does it happen if  the placed image formats are .PSDs?

I've found no correlation between type of pictures and succsessfully export or not.
Sometimes the pictures are in .psd-format, yes.

Display performance is not set to high quality.
I almost always use the normal setting. But should this affect anything?
That sounds strange. I guess stranger things have happened. I´ll give it a try, thanks.

Only PNG. I can work around like this:
InDesign—> pdf—> Photoshop—> PNG

But I belive it should be possible to achive with only InDesign.
