Ich habe ein Indesign-Dokument mit Endnoten auf deutsch. Die Ebene mit dem deutschen Text habe ich dupliziert für die Übersetzung ins Englische. Dabei ist ein Fehler bei den Endnoten aufgetreten: In der deutschen Ebene sind im Endnoten-Rahmen die Endnoten jetzt doppelt aufgeführt, d.h. Endnote 1 bis x, dann im Anschluss nochmals 1 bis x. In der neuen englischen Ebene sind die Endnoten ohne Verweis "<?>".
Gibt es eine Lösung für das Problem?

End notes are very fragile in InDesign, and there must be one and only one instance of them, in their own text frame/flow. You can't duplicate them, or move them out of that frame, without breaking the link structure.
I am not sure how to set up such a file for translation, other than as a completely separate pair of documents. Others here have more expertise with direct ID translation and might have some suggestions.

Dear James, thank you. The endnotes are dublicated, and the links still work. When I delete one endnote in the text of the new layer, the dublicated endnote text in the old layer will be deleted. Unfortunatly the link switches layers. Endnotes are realy fragile...

Yes, it's that the links get crossed up if you try to do almost any kind of editing around them, either intentionally or accidentally. It can be very frustrating when trying to restructure a book, or do something other than InDesign's narrow method of handling end notes (and footnotes!)
