If you're on a Mac hit the green button (top left) then resize the InDesign screen by dragging the bottom right corner.

The question is not how to resize the window. I don't want to resize the window everytime I exit fullscreen. This is a new bug. Software is made to help the user with certain things.
I have to resize the window, otherwise I can't see the staus bar.

I can only reproduce this under certain conditions on Sequoia but not on Ventura.
On macOS Sequoia:
It looks like Application Frame is the culprit.
Indeed, when Application Frame is enabled, the bottom status bar goes off-screen after exiting the full-screen mode. Not only this, but the entire InDesign frame expands below the Dock (at least when the Dock is on the left side).
I never use Application Frame so I'm not affected by this bug. Try to disable Application Frame, will it make a difference?
InDesign 20.1, Sequoia 15.4 beta.
No issues on Ventura even with Application Frame enabled.

I use Swquoia and Application Frame doesn't help.
If i deactivate Application Frame the bottom window
will still be out of frame – at least when i exit fullscreen mode.
I don't use any plug-ins or something.
It's just a Mac Studio M1 Max with all the newest updates.
Therefore it should be rather easy to reproduce.

Maybe the type of monitor also plays a role? My Sequoia test was on a 16" MacBook Pro.
