Is it possible to automatically enlarge text to fill a text box in Indesign?  I can fit a text box to the text but can't find a way to fit the text to fill an existing box. We are a newspaper publisher and would like to be able to automatically enlarge a heading to fit a box on a page.

Hi @Ian384814086k9h:

One option is a script written by one of our Adobe Community Experts, @TAW, demo'd here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CACgHaM2RRA and available for purchase here: https://www.id-extras.com/products/fit-text-to-frame/

A free alternative is to define a series of GREP styles as explained here by another one of our Adobe Community Experts, @Colin Flashman  : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TFzWt_hrS-A&t=8s

We have a talented group of volunteers on this forum! 😊

There are some scripts that can do this.

How would you like to enlarge the text? With more text?

With more spacing?

Or a larger font size?

Or completely different?

Both of the demos are specifically targeting a data merge workflow, but they're working with paragraph styles and will work in any workflow.
