Hi everyone,
I used for two months the Font Lavigne Display (light, regular and bold) in my thesis, both in InDesign and Illustrator. Since last Friday it no longer works on InDesign, but continues to work on illustrator. In the Creative Cloud is active, but continues not to connect in InDesign.
Can anyone help me? Super stressed for the thesis delivery :((
Hi All,
We appreciate your patience. The issue is fixed with the latest InDesign version (17.2.1). Please update InDesign to the latest version and see if that helps.
If you still experience the issue on the 17.2.1 version, then please try resetting the preferences. It will fix the issue.
Let us know if you need further assistance. We'd be happy to help.
Thanks,
Harshika

Hi Valeria,
what happened last Friday?
Did you update from InDesign version 17.1 to version 17.2?
Then I'd try to go back to 17.1. Could be a new bug in 17.1 or 17.2, I'm not sure…
Or revert perhaps even to 17.0.1 as others suggest with similar issues in other discussions here in the forum.

Hi Laubender,
I installed the previous version of InDesign, as you suggested, and finally the font works!!!
I think, as you said, it's a bug of the latest version.
Thank you so so so much!!

Valeria

I had to go back to 17.0.1 before it would recognise the fonts. This is quite a serious bug.

Hi Peter,
had an issue last week with 17.1 and 17.2 recognizing a font in a Document fonts folder. No issue at all with previous versions of InDesign that also are installed on my Windows 10 machine.
I did not revert to 17.0.1, but finally a restart of my machine worked to solve the issue. And still it does after a couple of restarts on the weekend.
But I really do not know what exactly went wrong.
Before my first restart I tried two different alternatives to make the font available to InDesign 2022.
Both worked for me:
[1] I installed the font for all users.
[2] I put the font file in the Fonts folder of InDesign's Application folder.

Hi @valeria23855618uefl @peterw76406245,
We are sorry for the trouble. We are able to replicate the issue at our end with multiple fonts on v17.2 & in some instances, on v17.1 as well. We have logged a bug a with the product team last week, and they are currently investigating the issue on a priority.
I would request you to upvote this UserVoice (https://indesign.uservoice.com/forums/601180-adobe-indesign-bugs/suggestions/44970238-installed-font...) if not done already. By doing this, you will keep on getting updates related to this issue.
Also, if possible, please share the download link to the fonts which are not showing up in Indesign here or via DM with me.
In the meantime, you may install the older version of Indesign v17.0.1 or earlier until this issue gets fixed.
Regards,
Anshul Saini

Hi there, I am currently having the same font issues with InDesign 17.2.... A new client's brand font is 'Cookies & Milk' which I have the full licensed version of. I've installed it and it works perfectly in Illustrator but will NOT work in InDesign. I'm relatively tech savvy and have tried everything I can think of to solve the problem... no success! Any suggestions? Please help ASAP as I can't work on my client's projects without it!

Hi Red Cliff Design UK,
a couple of things you could try:
[1] Go back to version 17.1 or 17.0.1
[2] Wait until 17.2.1 is released with a bug fix; could be this week or next week.
[3] Sign in to InDesign Prerelease and test version 17.3
