Hi all,

My configuration is : MBP running Mojave 10.14.6 / Indesign 16.4.1

My (really annoying) problem :

Capture d’écran 2022-01-12 à 10.43.12.png

… then, if I simply choose another destination folder, the text comes back to a normal state :

Capture d’écran 2022-01-12 à 10.43.24.png

I've tried every "solutions" that can be found on the net but nothing worked 😞

Any help will be VERY appreciated :-D)

That's very strange - not sure why that would be the case.

What solutions have you tried?

Is it every file?

If so -

Try resetting your preferences:
The easiest way to reset everything is to delete the InDesign preferences: as soon as InDesign starts to boot hold down Shift, Alt, Ctrl (and Apple/Cmd if working on a Macintosh). A dialog will appear asking to delete the InDesign Preferences, select 'Yes' on this dialog.
Further info and instructions here if needed:

---

If it's just one file

If a document is not behaving well then try

File>Export

Choose IDML

Open the IDML in InDesign
Save the file as a new InDesign file with a new name

See if the issue persists.

----

If it's not fixing itself then

Reinstalling rarely fixes everything - you can do a complete reinstall using the
Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/cc-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html

---

Hope some of that helps you.

Thanks for your answer.

Unfortunately, I've already tried all these "solutions" with no luck.

I've contacted Adobe's support and taking control of my mac, the tech resetted 3 Indesign folders. The problem seemed to be gone but, has come back 2 hours later... A VERY strange affair indeed…

So, I think I'll stick with my "change location" workaround 😉
