How do I fix overset text across multiple pages?

New Here ,

I'm working on a multi-page document in InDesign and keep encountering overset text issues across several text frames. I’ve tried resizing the text boxes and adjusting the font size, but the problem persists, especially when linked across pages. How can I efficiently locate and fix overset text throughout the entire document without manually checking each page? Is there a better way to automate or streamline this process?

Are you familiar with the Preflight panel and the red light/green light indicators? I work primarily on long documents, and edits on an early page can overset text at the end of the story. Keep an eye on the light indicators. When you see a red light, double click the word "error" to open the Preflight panel and you can see exactly where they occur. Click the page number to navigate quickly to the issue and fix it.

I suppose it could be scripted.

Did you not notice these overset frames in the first place as you were working?

@smith_7645

Can you post some sreenshots?

And as @BobLevine mentioed - it can be scripted - but do you want to make those TextFrames wider or taller - or both? But then - proportionally or by a specific amount?
