How do you keep ~( \r ~y from being lost? When pasting the contents of the Grep lookup window into the ID window.
Do I only have to go open the XML file to copy the full grep?
Or write it all over again?
Also, the Grep lookup box is too small, it would be nice if the font was a little bigger.

If you type it in the Notepad first - then it will paste without "interpretation" - but if you type it in the F&C GREP Find What field - or paste it there from Notepad - and then copy - it will get "interpreted" even when you paste it back to Notepad:
Even Paste Without Formatting - Ctrl+Shift+V - doesn't help.
For the too small Find What field - you need to increase font size in the system - or UI Scalling in the InDesign:

I have to say, it's a great script.
It would be great if he could convert the regular in the ID lookup window to plain text.
Thank you for sharing
Its this Send to Grep Style, which is pretty similar to a question I've asked before.
A paragraph style, directly inherits a regular expression from B paragraph style.

I'm referring to the fact that A can select one of the regular expressions in B, taking only the content and not inheriting the style.
It would be great if this script could store commonly used scripts that I select and add directly to a certain paragraph style.
It's a bit of a shame that it doesn't seem to be able to store them.
I always imagined the best.

Peter Kahre of TransUnion.
This script would be great if it could be customized with our common regulars, and if it could have a history feature perhaps.

(Don't know what TransUnion is.)

You can (indirectly) store frequently used queries: in the Find/Change window, at the top, click the Save icon. Then later you can retrieve it in the Find/Change window, then in the script's window you click 'Copy F/C query'.

All-powerful and invincible?
Sorry.
I wasn't paying attention. I might have made a typo.

I would like to add an area in this script panel of yours.
It can be customized to access some key locations of the ID.
For example where shortcuts are stored, where regulars are stored.
And where my library files are stored.
I can open this regular editor of yours with Shift+Alt+F and then open our file location.

When he wrote "I would like to add" - it means "can someone do that for me" 😉

I know, haha!

But, seriously, @dublove , what you're asking has nothing to do with grep.
If you want some panel that guides you to various places (shortcuts, libraries, and whatever else) are stored you should hire someone to write it for you.

I've got a bit of a thought process, and I'll resort to a certain area of this script of yours.
