Hi, I was wondering if it was possible in InDesign to connect words in two different text frames.

Example: in a text frame the text is 'AAAA BBBB CCCCC', while in the other one the text is 'DDDD BBBB EEEEE'.

What I would like to achieve is that if the BBBB text is modified in any of the two text frames the change is automatically applied also in the other text frame.
Is it possible to do this? Thanks in advance.

Hi Alessandro,

think of Text Variables.

But there is one thing you have to know: You cannot hyphenate or break the contents of a text variable.

The result text of any text variable is always one single unit.
