How to Create a Gradient with Transparency in Adobe InDesign

Explorer ,
Nov 14, 2024 Nov 14, 2024

How do I make one end of a gradient transparent?

As in, so that one end of it is fading away, as opposed to turning into 'Paper'/ white (which seems to be the case with Gradient Feather tool).
When I try using Gradient the way I do in Illustrator (set both colour stops to same colour, with one stop at 0% opacity) it doesn't work as there isn't a way to adjust colour stop's opacity in InDesingn (or I'm totally missing it!)

please help 😞

Exactly.

@MargoM.

You need to have your object SELECTED - otherwise, tool is selected - but not active, and feather gradient won't be applied.

Then:

Gradient is left-to-right - feather is from the middle to the top.
