how to modify a range of an excel link

I have a book with several links to excel 

now I need to modify some of the range (as excel table are currently longer / larger)

how can i do?

You might try to select the content of the entire table. Then use the Place command with the Show Import Options to place the same spreadsheet file, but choose a smaller data range in the Options dialog box.

Or, if you have simply refreshed the link, you could manually select the unnecessary columns and press Cmd/Ctrl+Backspace to delete rows or Shift+Backspace to delete columns.
