How to Remove Fill on a Shape in InDesign?

I find it very time consuming to remove fill on shapes (they really bury it in the properties menu!) Is there a shortcut to set the fill to transparent?

If the object is selected and fill color is active in one of the proxies (color, swatches or Tools), just hit the backsalsh key to assign a fill color of [none].
