Hey,

I changed in the document setup the size of the document a little.

When I now export the file, the exported document size does not change.

What can I do?

You're going to have to supply a lot more information. Export the file to WHAT? How do know the document size is wrong? Where are you checking this?

I click on "Export" and then I export to pdf.

When I then open the file with some pdf viewer, it shows the format (which is not exactly) the size I entered in the "document setup."

Again, we need details. There is no way to help without specific information. What is the size of the document? Is there bleed? How do you know they don't match? Perhaps some screenshots would help.

this is the document setup.
After exporting to pdf, the size is 297 to 420 (like it was before).

I need 299 * 422 as a final size..

We need to see the PDF and where you are measuring it.

Hi @peterm94018769 , As @Scott Falkner  suggests an InDesign document can have different size pages and Document Setup would not affect custom pages. Acrobat is going to use the first page for its Document Properties Page Size. You can use Acrobat’s Preflight to check the sizes of individual pages.

The dimensions of a PDF will be the size required to include any possible bleed and/or crop marks. e.g. if your document is 297 x 422 and you have a bleed of 3mm in your document and you export with bleeds, your PDF will be 303 x 428; even larger if you export with crop marks. This doesn't change the fact that your actual (trimmed) artwork area is still 297 x 422, so we would need to see your export settings that you used.

How many pages is the file? Check the size of each page using the Page tool then look in the Control Panel or the Properties Panel.

InDesign lets you change the size of each page. If you change the size of a page then change the document size in Document Setup any pages that had hteir size changed will stay the same size.
