Hello,
I need an option to restart end note numbering per page in Adobe InDesign Currently, end notes continue numbering throughout the document and story but I want them to restart from 1 on each page.
Is there any built-in option for this, or do I need a script/plugin? If anyone has a solution, please guide me.
Thank you!

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/
p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.

Why would you like to re-start them on each page - if they are then together at the end of the Story / Document?

As you've no doubt discovered, end notes have only two modes: Continuous (throughout a document) and Story (resetting to 1 at the start of every component story). There's no option for numbering per page and, to be honest, I can't think of a document model where that would be normal or accepted practice.
Footnotes, on the other hand, will do exactly what you're seeking, but of course are also placed per page.
There is no integral feature that will do per-page notes and combine them in a separate (end fo document) text frame. If you really must have this result, you're going to have to manage it manually or hope someone has a plugin flexible enough to combine the two options.

I am using End Notes as Side Notes in Adobe InDesign 2024. In my document, the left side of each page contains the main text, and the right side contains corresponding annotations (End Notes).
Issues:
1. End Notes do not restart numbering on each page.
Footnotes have the "Restart Numbering Per Page" option, but End Notes do not.
2. If I break the threading, End Notes restart correctly, but editing becomes problematic.
When modifying the main text (adding/removing content), I have to manually cut and paste the End Notes on each page, increasing the chance of errors.
3. If the thread remains linked, the numbering continues across pages instead of restarting on each page.
4. I need an automatic way for End Notes to restart numbering per page, similar to Footnotes.
What I Need:
How can I enable "Restart Numbering Per Page" for End Notes?
How to maintain Smart Flow while ensuring End Notes restart from 1 on each page?
Is there any solution using ExtendScript or GREP Style?
Please suggest a suitable solution. Thank you!

Given that it's page by page and thus "all right there in front of you" — I don't think numbering the notes manually is a poor choice. Use a numbered paragraph, and a Start-at-1 reset child version, and then you only have to match the note to the text reference.
