I have a multi-page interactive form created in INDD and saved as a PDF. I need non-tech users to be able to fill out the form and submit it through email.

  1. Is there a way I can make a "SUBMIT" button that saves the form and attaches it to a specified email?
  2. Is there a way for a user to send the file through Acrobat Reader?
  3. As a bonus, is there a way to encrypt the form being sent, it should be HIPAA compliant.

Thank you in advance

Why does it have to be a PDF? This would be far easier to create as a form on a website.

A submit button may or may not work depending upon the user's choice of PDF reader application and their email application being local or if they're using web mail.

I agree about the website form. This is a stop-gap measure while the site is being overhauled. What I really want to figure out is, Can I create a multi-form IND doc, that, at the end of the doc has a SUBMIT button. That submit button will be tasked to Save the doc, attach it and mailto:  For this case, we'll assume that all users are using the free Acrobat.

It sounds crazy to me, to ask one button to be able to do all of that. Just trying to come up with a solution for my client.

Thanks, BobLevine for your input.
