I cannot create an HTML through the "Export" feature in InDesign. The system ran for 2 hours without any results. The INDD file was used to prepare a PDF and Web PDF for the publishers, all without problems.

If you want to create an HTML5 document it's best to either create a FXL ePub,  InDesign’s Publish Online feature or in5, an InDesign plug-in (at extra cost).

I am having exactly the same problem.  I have exported HTML from InDesign for months, with at least one article generated per week, without any problems.  But within the last week, even a very simple document will not export.  InDesign runs for hours, chewing up a lot of CPU processing but never completing.

There is something definitely wrong with the latest release of InDesign.
