Hyperlinks break in PDF which includes nested InDesign pages

Hi all,

I've got an InDesign file (2017.1) which includes a couple of pages imported from another InDesign file. The imported file contains some hyperlinks. The hyperlinked text wraps to two lines.

In the final exported PDF, only the part of the URL on the first line is included in the hyperlink.

Has anyone encountered this, or better yet figured out a fix? I can update to the latest release if necessary, but haven't yet to maintain compatibility with some other users.

It's also possible that the hyperlinks aren't surviving the original import of their InDesign pages into the larger document, and the bad hyperlinks are the ones that Acrobat automatically generates, in which case the fix would be trying to find out how to get the hyperlinks to survive the nesting process.

Hi Jeff,

that's not only possible, it's the case.

There is no workaround other than doing the hyperlinks in Acrobat Pro.

Or do you see a chance to copy/paste and maybe scale the contents of the placed inDesign pages to your main document?

I'm having this exact issue but with text created directly in my InDesign file. The source text wraps 3 lines, but in the exported pdf, only the top line induces the clickable hover state.
