I am having problems with my huperlinks in Indesign.

The hyperlinks work when I open the document in Adobe Acrobat but when I open it in Chrome, the hyperlinks don't work.

What do I do?

When you export your PDF you will note that it is indeed an Adobe PDF. Beyond Acrobat or Reader, everything else, including browsers is a crapshoot.

Hi @Alberte37380526k80u ,

please check the Hyperlinks panel if the hyperlinks are listed there.

Could be that Acrobat detects hyperlinks automatically with specific text like a written URL when no explicit hyperlink is set in InDesign.

Hi Uwe

The hyperlinks are listed in the Hyperlinks panel, but they still do not work when i open the pdf in chrome..

Is there anything else I can do?

It has never been a problem before.

Hi @Alberte37380526k80u ,

did you try with a different browser like Firefox?

How do you export the InDesign document to PDF?

Are you using Adobe PDF Print? Then check if the Hyperlinks option is checked.

Could you attach a sample InDesign document with the exported PDF as well?

Thanks,

I was having the same issue. Exported print pdf with hyperlinks selected. The links worked in Firefox, but not Chrome or Edge.

I didn't figure out what was causing the issue, but I was able to export as an intercative pdf (adjusting seetings for higher quality images) and the links now work fine in all browsers.
