I my what a morning.

I obviously made a fundemental error. I changed the name of a style folder (paragraphs) to something more useful for me. This has literally resulted in a fundemental colapes of my book, contents and styles.

The older folder name keeps being recreated, the styles wil lonly reference this folder, not the renamed folder, which in turn has broken the contents page.

Surely this should not happen, is there anything I can do?

Hi @garethirwin1234,

Sorry to hear about the trouble. Please close InDesign from the Task Manager/Activity Monitor and reboot the computer. Once it's rebooted, please don't launch InDesign and move the newly created paragraph folder to a different location then change the name of the original folder to "paragraph" and then launch InDesign and let us know if this helps or if you need any further assistance.

Regards

Rishabh
