Identical file - different ID versions- generate PDF -one fails PAC 2021 check -one does not

So I have a showstopper problem. A pdf generated from ID2022  passes teh PAC 2021 checker. but teh same file - opened in ID 2024 generates a pdf that gives the dreaded "object reference not set to an instance of teh object". The files are to all intents identical -  only one was generated from InDesign 2022 version and passes PAC while the same file opened in ID2024, generated pdf  gives the above error - I have  made tests with just one  page of the file and tried to compare but cannot see what the difference is.  Please can someone help or suggest somethign to try.

Chapter2_AK_2023-11-13from idml 2024.indd - gives teh error

and 004-ATL104Eng_Chapter2_AK_2023-11-13-from idml-2022.indd  does not

And have you seeen this thread over here? Seems like you're only going to have to wait for a couple of weeks for the current owner of PAC to implement and release a bugfix. I can't say for sure why Adobe can't fix the problem, but fortunately for you it seems like someone else can.

Additionally, I frequently see it posted here that Adobe Customer Service can generate a link for you or your client to download older versions of InDesign no longer available in the CC app.

Nothing strange here, looks like there is a bug in the latest version.

The best option for you would be to go back to the last working version of the InDesign, unfortunately.

the latest version that works is ID2022 [17.4] - cannot ask client to  revert to that since it is no longer listed /shown on teh creative cloud update page - why cannot Adobe  FIX THE PROBLEM?
