I placed an image in indesign which I edited in photoshop to remove the background. Despite selecting hide border and making the stroke weight 0 it still shows up when I convert the document to a pdf. The border doesn't show up in preview mode but it does in the pdf. Any ideas how to get rid of the border?

What file format is the Photoshop image you're placing in Photoshop? How did you remove the background? Have you applied any type of clipping path to remove your background with Photoshop or InDesign? Is your image without the background placed over any other graphic elements in your InDesign layout?

There are a number of ways that your background/border can appear in your PDF. Getting some more information on what type of file you've placed into InDesign and how it's placed into your document will help us help you past your issue.
