I have EanCodes in eps format and need to import them in indesign document using data merge.
- When I add # to csv data, indesign creats new eanCode it self
- When I add @ to csv data, indesign wont import the my EanCodes
can some one help me make it work?
Thanks
The column header needs to start with @ (example @Barcodes).
The data needs to be the exact name as file (example 12345.eps).
Then source file for datamerge needs to reside in the same folder as the .eps bar codes.
.eps barcodes will work with no issue.

Have you tried resaving the codes in a different format?
.eps is long deprecated for use in ID.

I export them from an Application which they must be eps.

Can you then re-open them in Illustrator and resave, for example?
try one as a test, and if it works you can probably find a batch convert script or utility.
