Import Excel doesn't work

Hey, trying to import an excel file to InDesign. Even when I activate the checkbox "Options" it show this error report see below. Where is my mistake?

Yeah Thanks! It's just to simple isn't it? Would have wished it will work with other programs too. Will check out other options then. Thanks for your help @BobLevine & @Eric Dumas

Is it really an Excel file? Or, was it created by another application and saved as an Excel file?

Is it closed? Is it XLS or XLSX?
